🔥 Backbone of the Bonnet Band
Since the '1979, Graham Bonnet has been the frontman for a who’s who of legendary rock bands. From Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow—where Bonnet replaced Ronnie James Dio and helped deliver the hit-packed Down to Earth (1979), featuring “Since You’ve Been Gone”—to projects with Yngwie Malmsteen, Michael Schenker, and more, Bonnet’s resume reads like a rock history lesson.
But in 2015, when Bonnet launched the Graham Bonnet Band, he brought in a powerhouse rhythm section—Conrado Pesinato on guitar, and Beth-Ami Heavenstone on bass.
Formerly of Hardly Dangerous, an all-female LA-based rock band, Beth-Ami didn’t just join the band—she anchored it. And if you’ve seen her live, you already know… she’s unforgettable.

🌈 A Moment, A Memory
I first met Beth-Ami in 1988 at the Roxy Theatre in LA, just a stone’s throw from the infamous Rainbow Bar & Grill. That night is burned into my brain—not because we had a long chat, but because she made a lasting impression.
Flash forward to March 29, 2025, at The Mint in Los Angeles. The Graham Bonnet Band is about to take the stage, and who do I see? Beth-Ami, just as charming and beautiful as ever—greeting friends and fans, handling business, and prepping to perform.
And despite having been stricken in recent months by a mysterious, difficult-to-diagnose illness, you’d never know it. Her energy? Effortless. Her presence? Commanding.

Beth-Ami’s charisma radiates both on and off stage.
“She’s more than a bassist—she’s a storm wrapped in a smile.”
— Mikey Capone
⚡ When the Strap Snaps… Own It
Mid-set, a strap screw came loose on Beth-Ami’s bass. For many, it would’ve been a disaster. But Beth-Ami? She laughed, smiled, knelt, and even crawled across the stage while her tech scrambled to fix it.
Meanwhile, Graham turned to the crowd with that seasoned rock calm:
“This happens all the time.”
The band paused. The crowd cheered. Beth-Ami glowed. If the audience wasn’t already in love with her, they were now.
“Rock 'n roll chaos handled like a queen. Even a strap mishap becomes a showstopper when Beth-Ami’s onstage.”
— Mikey Capone
“If she didn’t have your attention before, she sure as hell does now.”
— Mikey Capone
🎤 THE VERDICT
Beth-Ami Heavenstone isn’t just the bassist. She’s the beating heart of the Graham Bonnet Band. A triple threat—player, manager, road warrior. Onstage and off, she’s sharp, strong, stylish, and impossible to ignore.
Her chemistry with Graham is palpable. Their mutual respect radiates with every note and glance.
“If she didn’t have your attention before, she sure as hell does now.”
If you haven’t seen the Graham Bonnet Band live—or experienced Beth-Ami’s stage magic—what are you waiting for?
Rock on.
